Šumer ltd. is an entrepreneurial company, as our ancestors started the iron industry in the Austrian city of Klagenfurt several decades ago.
1800-1900

1900-1950
Franc Šumer started the brick industry and the building material trade in Slovenia at Ljubečna near Celje. In the 19th century, there were many small brickworks in Ljubečna due to the availability of high-quality clay.
1964
The son of Franec Šumer – Viljem – started as an independent car transporter.
1982
The manufacture of springs started in Ljubečna.
1995
Based on the needs and the development of technological processes, the company evolved into a systematised TIER-2 supplier. This gave us new experience in metal and thermoplastic processing.
1998
We built our first 1500 m2 hall.
2000
We built our second hall of 2000 m2.
We introduced new technologies in plastic injection moulding and stamping.
2003
We received the Bronze Emblem of Celje for our successful development from craftsman to entrepreneur.
2004
ISO 9001 certificate obtained.
2008
New technologies: turning and assembly.
2012
IATF 16949 certification.
2019
New 1400 m2 hall.
2021
Renewal of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 certificates.
Today, the company is engaged in the manufacture of components using complete processing technologies for metals, plastics and rubber with the aim of developing and assembling finished products.
